Hendrick Automotive acquires Keystone Nissan in Merriam ...

Hendrick Automotive Group on Tuesday announced the purchase of its first Nissan dealership ? Keystone Nissan in Merriam.

Terms of the sale were not disclosed.The dealership has been renamed Superior Nissan of Kansas City and will be temporarily relocated to the former Superior Hummer location at 7951 Shawnee Mission Parkway. In June, Superior Nissan is expected to move to a new 38,000-square-foot location at 9505 W. 67th St. in Merriam.The new location, a former Toyota dealership, will undergo an extensive remodeling and will include 24 service bays. The remodeling is expected to cost about $1.5 million, the company said.Adam Williams will be the dealership?s general manager.Hendrick Automotive Group is one of the largest auto retail organizations in the country, with more than 100 franchises, including eight in the Kansas City area.
